Senior Data Scientist in ModelOps responsible for scaling maintainable code, automating CI/CD pipelines, and delivering production-grade model orchestration for automated credit decisions. You will work hands-on on a greenfield platform, mentor data scientists and engineers, and collaborate with product management to translate business needs into technical solutions. The role is based in Vilnius, Lithuania, with a hybrid work model (at least 3 days in the office) as part of the 60-person Decision Modelling team spanning Copenhagen and Vilnius. The position emphasizes DevOps practices, Python-focused development, and open-source tooling in a finance context.

As a Senior Data Scientist in our ModelOps team, you will scale maintainable code development, automate processes, and build production-grade solutions across Decision Modelling. Working hands-on on our greenfield platform, you will support and guide Data Scientists and Engineers in turning models into stable, scalable solutions while contributing yourself.
You will be part of Decision Modelling consisting of 60 employees working from our offices in Copenhagen and Vilnius. We are a team with a flat structure and an informal atmosphere. Our focus is to have a good collaboration and enable the best in each other.
Danske Bank supports a high degree of workplace flexibility (our team is currently using a hybrid working model, where we work at least 3 days a week in the office).
You will be located in Vilnius, Lithuania.

You will:
- Support Decision Modelling on technical implementations and define model orchestration in our event-driven model infrastructure
- Improve and challenge our automated CI/CD pipelines, model orchestration and infrastructure
- Take a key role in implementing standards for our technical best practices, pythonic principles and frameworks as well hands-on building solutions
- Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to understand company needs and advise on methodical solutions and technical best-practices
- Guide and mentor our data scientists and engineers, having various technical backgrounds, on technical subjects and understandings
About you:
- 2+ years of relevant experience within Mathematical modelling or Computer Science building data driven solutions
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or other relevant fields
- Experience working with DevOps principles, like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines, building docker images, operational monitoring, etc
- Experience working with large scale Python projects applying code designs and principles
- Demonstrated a strong ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver production-grade solutions in your current job
- Experience working with Micro service architecture or event-driven design (would be a benefit)
- Experience working with OpenShift and Kafka (would be a benefit)
- Upper-Intermediate English language skills

Monthly salary range from 3440 EUR to 5160 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
