Join a McKinsey Digital team to drive end-to-end digital transformations across business, technology, processes and people in a small consulting group. You will gather and analyze information, formulate hypotheses, and develop recommendations, then present results to client management and collaborate with client teams to implement changes. You’ll receive extensive training and coaching, including a Partner mentor, and be based in Tokyo or Osaka/Kansai as part of the McKinsey Digital practice focusing on IT modernization, agile, cloud, cybersecurity and broader digital transformation. The role blends digital strategy and delivery across multiple industries, with opportunities for hands-on impact and global collaboration.

Your Impact
In a team of typically ~3-5 consultants, you will shape and drive end-to-end digital transformations across business, technology, process and people, creating value by reinventing the core of our client's businesses.
This work includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations. You’ll also have the opportunity to present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members.
You will receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from your team. This support includes a Partner assigned to you to help guide your career as well as formal training throughout your McKinsey career. Additionally, you'll receive guidance and support from our Partners and professional development team in the selection of client projects, helping you to develop your skills and build your network.

所属するチームからは、トレーニングに加え、コーチングやメンタリングを直接受けることになります。マッキンゼーにおけるキャリアを通じて、ガイドとなり正式なトレーニングをサポートするパートナーが、各新入社員ごとに1名アサインされ、あなたのキャリアをサポートします。また、参加するプロジェクトを選択する際の相談先となる Professional Development Team や他のパートナーからも、スキルやネットワークの構築についてサポートを受けることができます。
You will be based in our Tokyo/Kansai office and will be part of the McKinsey Digital team. McKinsey Digital brings together the best of McKinsey’s digital capabilities to help our clients use digital technology to transform their businesses. As part of this group, you’ll join a global team working on everything from IT modernization and strategy to agile, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
You will work with projects in a wide range of sectors and industries. Some McKinsey Digital consultants work exclusively within digital, while others mix their digital focus with broader consulting work (e.g., operations, organization, strategy, corporate finance, marketing and sales, etc.).

Your qualifications and skills
- Undergraduate degree or above with working experience
- Preferably working experience in digital consulting or IT consulting firm
- Curious problem solver with functional knowledge and experience in digital or/and IT related fields including, but not limited to, digital transformations, analytics, digital business building, business oriented IT strategy, IT cost portfolio optimization, end to end business process redesign with ERP, modern architecture strategy with cloud journey design, capability building and insourcing with agile type of development, product owner, and cybersecurity strategy
- Passionate to change Japan and make global impact with new technology
- Interest in engaging client’s most upstream strategical digital transformation to make noteworthy business impact
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with people at all levels
- A thoughtful and comfortable communicator
- Fluency in Japanese (JLPT N1 level or equivalent for non-native Japanese speakers) and business level English
