Join OptimusAI within McKinsey's manufacturing AI solution to improve processing plant productivity through data analytics. You will collaborate in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team (3-6 experts) to enhance client performance in areas such as energy efficiency, product quality, and capacity, working with process engineers and analytics specialists and communicating results to executives. Internally, you will help develop innovative products and algorithms, codify best practices, and shape the product roadmap, with opportunities for world-class training and travel to client sites. You will be based in Gurugram or Bengaluru, contributing to a team at the intersection of Global Energy and Materials, QuantumBlack, and Operations.

Your qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in a discipline such as: Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Machine Learning or equivalent
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience in advanced analytics, ideally in the context of heavy industry - preferably Mining, Metals, or Chemicals
- Ability to write clean and efficient code in Python; ideally with experience in using cloud computing resources (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Ability to implement and maintain MLOps pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of models
- Strong DevOps and backend engineering skills, including experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion
- Ability to apply and advise on state-of-the-art analytics, machine learning, and optimization techniques to derive business insights and solve complex problems
- Excellent problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and effective solutions
- Ability to thrive in a flexible, multi-disciplinary and agile working environment
- Track record of completing projects successfully on time as per scope
- Willingness to travel to other offices and/or client locations for short/long term assignments
- Strong interpersonal communication skills; experience in facilitating discussions with leadership
