Senior Data Science Analyst at OptimusAI will help energy and materials sector clients unlock productivity through AI. You will collaborate in a 3-6 person multidisciplinary team to apply analytics to energy efficiency, quality, and capacity, and present findings to executive audiences. You will work with product engineers to develop AI-driven products and codify best practices, with strong ownership from day one in a collaborative environment. The role is based in Houston or Denver, with opportunities to travel to client sites.

Your qualifications and skills
- Degree in a discipline such as computer science, applied statistics, mathematics, analytics, engineering, machine learning or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in advanced analytics, ideally in the context of heavy industry
- Ability to write clean and efficient code in Python; ideally with experience in using cloud computing resources (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Ability to apply and advise on state-of-the-art analytics, machine learning, and optimization techniques to derive business insights and solve complex problems
- Excellent problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and effective solutions
- Ability to thrive in a flexible, multi-disciplinary and agile working environment
- Track record of completing projects successfully on time as per scope
- Willingness to travel to other offices and/or client locations for short/long term assignments
- Strong interpersonal communication skills; experience in facilitating discussions with leadership
