You will engage with customers to understand AI infrastructure needs and drive validation of Copilot infrastructure components (Copilot Connectors, MCPs, LLMs, APIs). Act as the bridge between customers and engineering, translating feedback into prioritized feature needs to accelerate AI adoption. Collaborate with global engineering teams to align on shipping criteria and validate product readiness, ensuring quality, scalability, and security. You will contribute thought leadership, develop technical content, and help shape the evolution of M365 Copilot infrastructure.

We are seeking a self-motivated & deeply technical program manager to engage with customers on AI infrastructure technologies. You will be at the forefront of helping build and validate cutting-edge AI solutions, engaging customers to understand their technical and business needs, and driving the evolution of M365 Copilot and underlying infrastructure components like Copilot Connectors, MCPs, LLMs and APIs. Your technical expertise will ensure that our AI products exceed the shipping bar.

Microsoft 365 Copilot Customer & Partner Ecosystem (CAPE) Team

We collaborate with customers and strategic ISVs globally to drive innovation and deliver exceptional solutions. Our team also oversees the Microsoft Teams Product and Platform Ecosystem, which includes Collaborative Apps, Core, Calling, Meetings, and Copilot in Teams. Teams is one the most important interface for Copilot and we continue to invest in enhancing the Teams experience for over 300M users and empowering users with cutting-edge tools and features.

Responsibilities
  1. Agents integration and feedback
    • Understand the business value and technical dependencies of pre-release agents and influence our early adopters to deploy these AI agents in their work life
    • Act as the bridge between customers and engineering, deeply understanding AI adoption challenges and feature needs. Evaluate and influence stakeholders to prioritize the right agent development model to exceed customer productivity demands
    • Engage with business users, and IT teams worldwide to gather insights and prioritize technical features.
  2. Technical excellence
    • Drive the technical validation of Microsoft’s AI infrastructure like Copilot Connectors, MCPs and more, ensuring quality, scalability, security, and efficiency.
    • Ability to understand and develop custom solutions and Agents using development tools such as Copilot Studio
    • Demonstrate deep expertise in cloud-based AI/ML services, containerized workloads.
    • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies for AI infrastructure evolution.
    • Demonstrate modern engineering excellence through cutting-edge customer testing & validation methodologies.
  3. Global Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with engineering teams worldwide to align on shipping criteria and ensure seamless execution of product validation strategies.
    • Work with our global organization to develop an agile and structured customer engagement plan.
    • Foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and teamwork across geographically distributed teams to build best-in-class AI infrastructure.
  4. Thought Leadership & Industry Influence:
    • Stay ahead of AI infrastructure trends, open-source technologies, and cloud advancements.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer forums including onsite visits to observe users.
    • Drive technical content creation, including blogs, whitepapers, and webinars


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND demonstrated years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Sufficient years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of AI/ML frameworks, cloud platforms, and data pipelines. Ability to partner effectively with other product managers and engineering teams to deliver complex technical solutions.
  • AI tools: Sufficient years of experience in one or more: Copilot Studio, Copilot/Graph connectors, Power Automate, UiPath
  • Workflow Expertise: Sufficient years experience in hands-on workflow automation using Power Automate, UiPath or other similar tools.
  • Customer-Centric: Proven track record of engaging directly with customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions that exceed expectations. OR engaging with customers to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Leadership: Demonstrated strategic thinking and the ability to influence
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Passion for AI: Deep interest in AI and its potential to transform business workflows.

Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualification:

  • Experience: Proven years in technical roles, with a deep focus on AI/ML technologies and cloud infrastructure. Experience directly engaging with enterprise customers or consumers is a must.
  • Sufficient years of experience as Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) for AI applications or tools
  • Hands-on experience creating Customer solutions, assessing business need and delivering Proof of Concepts (PoC)/Pilots for customers that lead to production deployments will be a plus.
