Millennium is seeking an exceptionally talented Healthcare Sector Data Analyst to join its Equities Data Science Group in New York. In this role, you will work directly with investment teams on the Equities platform to design and deliver data‑driven solutions that generate alpha and enhance risk management.

The ideal candidate combines deep Healthcare sector knowledge, strong data science skills, and solid technical expertise. You will leverage a wide range of structured and unstructured datasets to give investment teams a differentiated edge in their process. You must be able to explain sophisticated statistical and technical concepts in clear, simple language while also listening carefully and understanding investment problems as described in the portfolio teams’ own vernacular.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with portfolio managers to surface and frame key investment debates in the Healthcare sector, and conduct rigorous, data driven research to resolve them.

• Apply advanced techniques (LLMs, machine learning, Bayesian frameworks) to build high‑accuracy predictions and KPI forecasts.

• Harness cutting-edge LLMs and Millennium’s AI tools to extract insights and deliver agentic solutions for investment teams.

• Lead the development of data products and scale solutions that empower investment teams and drive alpha generation.

• Define and execute the sector-level data strategy to drive adoption and engagement of the healthcare sector team’s offerings.

• Collaborate closely with the Content Solutions (data sourcing) team to identify, evaluate, and onboard high value datasets that support sector research priorities and enhance alpha generation.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related).

• 3–7+ years of experience in data science, quantitative research, or analytics.

• 2+ years of experience as a Healthcare sector data analyst (buy side, sell side, or closely related).

• Strong Python and SQL skills; comfortable working with large, complex datasets.

• Experience building predictive models and forecasts in a production or investment context.

• Proficiency with data visualization and dashboard tools (e.g., matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau) to communicate insights effectively.

• Proven ability to translate loosely defined investment questions into clear, data‑driven research and products.

• Strong communication skills and a self‑starter mindset suited to a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.

Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
