Lead the development and optimization of advanced rendering techniques, including path tracing and neural graphics, and drive broader AI adoption in games. Collaborate with AAA developers to optimize GPU and system performance for fast, fluid gameplay with neural rendering and AI behaviors. Develop, profile, and tune neural rendering algorithms and AI models to maximize available compute resources, and work with NVIDIA architecture and driver teams to shape current and next-gen hardware. Build technical demos, write whitepapers, and present work at conferences, while traveling for on-site collaboration and conferences.

We are now looking for a Principal Developer Technology Engineer to focus on advanced rendering, including path tracing and neural graphics, and the broader adoption of AI technology in games.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate with some of the most innovative, leading AAA developers throughout the world to optimize GPU and system performance, to ensure the fastest and most fluid gameplay with beautiful path traced neural rendering and complex AI behaviors.

  • Develop, profile, optimize, and tune neural rendering algorithms and AI models to make the most of available computing resources.

  • Collaborate with the architecture and driver teams at NVIDIA in ensuring the best possible experience on current generation hardware, and on determining trends and features for next generation architectures.

  • Play with the latest GPU technology to develop new techniques using GPUs, build technical demos, write whitepapers and present your work at conferences.

What we need to see:

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related computationally focused science degree (or equivalent experience).

  • You have 15+ years of relevant work experience or research.

  • Proficiency in C++ with strong software development, optimization, debugging skills, and a strong software engineering background.

  • Very strong math skills, including linear algebra and calculus for problem-solving and performance modeling.

  • Excellent knowledge of real-time graphics and GPU technologies (real-time rendering algorithms including ray/path tracing, shaders, shading languages, and APIs such as DirectX or Vulkan).

  • Hands-on experience with low-level performance optimizations.

  • In-depth expertise with CPU and GPU architecture fundamentals.

  • A solid understanding of AI fundamentals with the ability to not only use AI tools for programming productivity but also to design new solutions.

  • Good communication, organization and prioritization skills.

  • Open to travel for on-site visits with developers and for conferences.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Professional experience in machine learning algorithms and applications.

  • Experience optimizing inference and training workloads.

  • Solid understanding of Neural Graphics techniques.

  • Experience with Windows or Linux driver development.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. For Poland: The base salary range is 483,750 PLN - 838,500 PLN.
