We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for NVIDIA's Autonomous Vehicle organization to advance computer vision and deep learning components for offline perception pipelines. The role involves building tools to manage large training datasets, developing CV algorithms for data preprocessing and post-processing, and integrating DL models into large-scale perception systems. You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality detection features for self-driving cars and support the ingestion of terabytes of sensor data. Strong software development skills in C++ and Python are required, and experience with ML techniques in real-world applications is desired.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for our Autonomous Vehicle organization. The team combines state-of-the-art Machine Learning and Computer Vision techniques to run offline perception tasks. We seek the best engineers who are passionate about solving problems for self-driving cars and have a strong background in software development. We build platforms, web services, and tools to ingest terabytes of sensor data through a complex pipeline, using advanced deep learning models and mathematical algorithms to produce the highest-quality detection features for self-driving cars. Are you interested in building future technologies to serve millions of self-driving cars across the globe? If so, join us!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Advance Deep Learning components for both training and inference stages

  • Developing tools to generate and handle big training datasets for different Deep Learning models

  • Developing computer vision algorithms for Deep Learning data preprocessing and post-processing

  • Integrating Deep Learning algorithms into realistic large-scale offline perception pipelines

  • Collaborating with other engineering teams within NVIDIA

What We Need To See:

  • A deep understanding of and experience applying modern Machine Learning techniques to real-world applications

  • MS/PhD Computer science or related areas (or equivalent experience)

  • 8+ years of industry experience

  • Strong mathematical foundation, such as Geometry, Linear Algebra, and Numerical Analysis

  • Proficient in C++ and Python, with ability to write clean maintainable code.

  • A self-motivated, collaborative and problem-solving mindset

  • Strive to learn, solve, and own hard problems end to end

  • Ability to work with multiple teams

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:

  • Previous experience with HD map generation.

  • Strive to learn, solve, and own hard problems end to end.

  • Good communication and analytical skills.

  • Great team player but an independent self starter

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.

Applications for this job will be accepted at least until March 5, 2026.
