Cubist Systematic Strategies (a Point72 affiliate) is hiring a Data Scientist to join its data services group to deliver comprehensive, error-free data for systematic portfolio managers. The role focuses on building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines, creating derived data content, defining and automating qualitative data checks, and engaging with vendors to source datasets. You will analyze financial datasets, prepare reports for investment teams, assist with data requests, and maintain internal dataset documentation. Strong Python and SQL skills are required, with AWS and Airflow experience preferred.

This exceptional individual will be a member of a small team of Data Scientists who play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day implementation of a large research infrastructure, and the live production trading of billions of dollars of capital across global capital markets, including equities, futures, options and other financial instruments.
Responsibilities
\n- Analyzing financial datasets and preparing reports for investment teams
- Creating derived data content and data ingestion pipelines
