Build NLP and ML systems to extract actionable signals from large collections of unstructured text to support long/short equity research. Work includes combining internal and external compliance-approved textual datasets, formulating research hypotheses, and building GenAI solutions using internal models and permissible external APIs. You will turn unstructured text into usable inputs for quantitative models, create scalable data-pulling systems, and test/improve NLP/ML models for reliability and accuracy. The role requires strong Python, SQL and software engineering skills, familiarity with the data science stack, and an interest in financial markets.

What you’ll do
\n- Explore and combine rich internal and external compliance approved textual datasets
- Formulate research hypothesis to derive alpha
- Build GenAI solutions, leveraging both internal models and permissible external APIs
- Turn unstructured text into usable data that can help provide inputs to the investment process and quantitative models
- Create systems to pull useful information from large collections of text
- Test and improve NLP and ML models so they are reliable and accurate
What’s required
\n- Bachelor, Master’s or PhD degree in computer science or another quantitative discipline
- Experience in NLP, particularly LLMs
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and general software engineering principles (github, testing, etc.)
- Familiarity with data science stack

Build NLP and ML systems to extract actionable signals from large collections of unstructured text to support long/short equity research.
