General Summary:

Our AI Software team builds Gen-AI software across host and on-device components to enable efficient on-device AI inference. We are seeking ambitious engineers who can deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment with strong cross-functional interaction.

In this role, you will lead team contributing across multiple workstreams (Gen-AI Model enablement, Features development, System Design, Tooling, APIs and debugging) with emphasis on robustness, validation, and automotive readiness.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Experience in architecting software solutions, leading teams delivering highly critical embedded or edge software systems with a strong background in C++/Python.

• Experience in people management.

• Deep and broad system architecture expertise, spanning host software, on-device components, tools, and validation stacks.

• Experience in delivering AI software solutions.

• Exceptional analytical and decision-making ability, making strategic choices with significant business impact.

• Excellent communicator and influencer with senior, cross‑functional stakeholders across sites, effectively presenting architecture and strategy to executives and large technical audiences to help shape platforms and product roadmaps.

• Proven mentoring and leadership across organizations, developing senior technical talent, fostering a culture of learning, and building a strong pipeline of future tech leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in on-device software development or heterogeneous computing platforms (CPU, GPU, NPU, DSP, ASIC HW etc).

• Experience with low-level interactions between operating systems (Linux, Android, QNX, Windows) and hardware.

• Experience in AI inference on HW accelerators, with a strong focus on key KPIs such as performance, accuracy, and end-to-end inference metrics.

• Exposure to AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch/TensorFlow/ONNX).

• Experience in embedded / systems software on SoCs (Linux/Android/QNX).

• Experience using/integrating Qualcomm AI Stack products (e.g., QNN, SNPE, QAIRT).

• Proven track record of delivering AI software products for automotive platforms.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/master’s in engineering, Computer Science, AI/ML, Information Systems, or related field.

• 18+ years of industry experience in software engineering with solution-oriented mindset.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Own system-level architecture for AI Software components, translating product/platform requirements into cohesive architecture, technical requirements, and measurable performance/quality targets.

• Define and drive long-term technical strategy for AI software components, anticipating future platform needs.

• Make and defend high-impact architectural trade-offs across cost, performance, power, robustness, and safety.

• Serve as the go-to expert for one or more deep technical areas within AI software team while maintaining strong system breadth, enabling team to resolve highly complex design and integration issues end-to-end.

• Drive cross-team technical alignment and influence roadmap decisions, collaborating with senior leaders and principal-level peers across engineering/product/program management, QA, and solution engineering teams.

• Mentor and develop senior/staff engineers and future technical leaders, providing tailored technical and career guidance and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

• Represent AI software team in high-stakes technical and strategic forums, communicating strategy, risk, and technical rationale to executives and external stakeholders and influencing key organizational decisions.
