QCT’s Multimedia Camera System group develops embedded camera and imaging solutions for Qualcomm chipsets that power today’s most advanced IoT products. Leveraging dedicated hardware, multi‑core processors, NPUs, and GPUs, our imaging systems deliver state‑of‑the‑art photo and video quality and support applications that rely on AI algorithms to enhance image fidelity.
We are seeking an intern to work on cutting‑edge AI technologies. In this role, you will help develop high‑efficiency neural network models for image denoising and deploy these models onto AI engines on QCM‑series chips.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
AI denoise algorithm development:
- Paper Survey: Review state‑of‑the‑art neural network architectures and emerging AI software techniques to drive innovation and meet runtime performance requirements.
- Performance Tuning: Evaluate and optimize neural network runtime performance—including latency, memory usage, power consumption, and accuracy—to ensure efficient on‑device inference.
- Model Deployment: Deploy new neural network models onto QCM chips, leveraging frameworks such as QNN and the AIMET SDK for efficient on‑device execution.
- IQ Experiment Design: Plan and conduct both objective and subjective evaluations through lab and field experiments to thoroughly assess image quality, system behavior, and prototype hardware/software performance.
- Cross‑team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and collaborate across functional groups to drive project milestones and deliver high‑quality results.
Additional Responsibilities (if applicable):
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define integration strategies and deadlines.
- Create technical documentation for integration processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience in video/image processing or computer vision algorithm development.
Experience in neural network deployment, including architecture design, model training, quantization, and compression.
Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with neural network inference frameworks for embedded systems (e.g., QNN, OpenVINO, TFLite, ONNX).
Experience in AI projects involving image denoising, segmentation, or restoration.
Experience in large-scale software project.
Experience in Linux, Windows operating system, framework, application and development environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and willingness to learn.
