Job Overview:
Do you want an opportunity to see what happens when you combine your neurons’ love for electrons with a neural network? Qualcomm Technologies’ engineering team in Taiwan is looking for a creative engineer to work on next‑generation products and technologies. This position is under the Machine Learning team in Taiwan PDTE (Product Development and Test Engineering).

The ideal candidate will have opportunities in the following areas:
• Analyze customer requirements, design intuitive and user‑centered solutions, and create machine learning model prototypes
• Combine computing backend solutions using data science or machine learning knowledge to deliver meaningful impact through user‑integrated systems
• Work on cutting‑edge projects involving Large Language Models (LLMs)

Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts, frameworks, and libraries
• Knowledge of Large Language Model concepts, including prompting, RAG, and model fine‑tuning
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using AWS cloud computing
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts such as regression, distribution, correlation, and outlier detection
• Knowledge of integrating foundation models (OpenAI, Claude, LLaMA, etc.) and implementing RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) pipelines
• Knowledge of fine‑tuning or instruction‑tuning models
• Knowledge of designing and implementing AI agent frameworks (single‑agent and multi‑agent)
• Experience with reinforcement learning techniques and environments
