THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

The Wealth Management & Insurance division is looking for a Senior Data Analyst based out of Madrid.

We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

Data Analysis & Dashboards

  • Design, develop and manage dashboards providing visibility on:

    • Digital sales journeys

    • Funnel conversion

    • Campaign performance

    • Customer behavior

    • Digital share and growth KPIs

  • Transform complex datasets into clear insights and visualizations for global and local stakeholders.

  • Analyze performance metrics end-to-end (from acquisition to conversion), identifying trends, anomalies and improvement opportunities.

  • Provide structured, insight-driven feedback to Product, CRO and Paid Media teams.

Attribution Ownership

  • Act as global owner of the digital attribution model for Santander Insurance.

  • Define, document and maintain attribution logic across channels (e.g., paid media, CRM, digital journeys).

  • Ensure consistency of attribution methodology across countries.

  • Partner with Insurance Domain and local teams to validate tracking and data accuracy.

  • Continuously review and improve attribution models to better reflect incremental impact and business reality.

LTV / CAC & Performance Modeling

  • Develop and maintain standardized LTV/CAC models to support growth and investment decisions.

  • Provide visibility on customer acquisition economics and payback periods.

  • Support Paid Media and Growth teams with ROI and marginal impact analysis.

  • Ensure consistency in assumptions and methodology across markets.

Tracking Framework & Data Governance

  • Define and maintain a global tracking framework for digital insurance initiatives.

  • Standardize event definitions, funnel logic and KPI calculations across countries.

  • Ensure minimum data quality standards and reporting consistency.

  • Act as key point of contact for digital data governance topics between Global and local markets.

  • Identify and escalate tracking gaps or inconsistencies affecting decision-making.

Reporting & Executive Visibility

  • Maintain structured performance reporting for Executive Committees.

  • Translate analytical findings into clear business implications and recommendations.

  • Ensure transparency and comparability of digital performance across markets.

Professional Experience

  • At least 7 years of professional experience, with 5+ years in digital analytics, growth analytics or performance roles. (Required)

  • Experience working with attribution models and performance measurement frameworks. (Required)

  • Experience analyzing LTV, CAC or similar performance metrics. (Required)

  • Experience working in large, multinational, matrix organizations. (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of insurance products and business models. (Preferred)

  • Experience in insurance or financial services. (Preferred)

  • Experience working in international and multicultural environments. (Preferred)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science or a related field. (Required)

  • MBA or postgraduate studies. (Preferred)

Languages

  • Fluent in English and Spanish. (Required)

  • Portuguese is highly desirable.  (Preferred)

Hard Skills

  • Hands-on experience with digital analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics or similar). (Required)

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in Python and/or R. (Required)

  • Experience building dashboards using Power BI, Looker Studio or similar tools. (Required)

  • Strong analytical, structured and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify subtle trends and performance drivers. (Required)

Soft Skills

  • Ability to influence stakeholders through data and structured communication. (Preferred)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; a collaborative, people-oriented profile. (Preferred)
