Lead the engineering effort for SAP’s greenfield Brno hub, building the next generation of SAP Business AI for Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and FP&A and embedding LLMs, predictive forecasting, agents, and RAG into SAP’s financial core. Build and nurture an inclusive, high-trust engineering culture, mentor engineers, and drive delivery of the product roadmap using agile practices. Define the technical architecture and technology stack from scratch, leveraging SAP’s latest tools (BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Business AI) to create a category-defining product. Partner with Product Management and UX to maximize product value and ensure cohesive, user-centric outcomes.

What you’ll build
You will help build the next generation of SAP Business AI for Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), embedding LLMs, predictive forecasting, agents, and RAG directly into SAP’s financial core.

Through agentic workflows and generative insights, we enable organizations to not only predict the future but to shape it, ensuring that every financial decision is grounded in deep, cross-functional context and global compliance. This AI‑native approach turns finance teams into strategic partners who can predict and shape future outcomes.
As a greenfield initiative, you’ll help define the technical architecture from scratch. Supported by SAP’s latest technologies — BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Business AI — you’ll decide how to combine them into a category‑defining product.
Responsibilities
- Build and nurture the engineering culture for our new Brno hub, creating an inclusive, high trust, and innovative environment.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, supporting their career growth, skill enhancement, and readiness for future technologies.
- Oversee execution of the product roadmap and ensure predictable, high quality delivery.
- Drive product delivery using agile methodologies, enabling teams to adapt quickly to shifting business needs.
- Participate in backlog definition and ensure teams meet their backlog commitments.
- Remove organizational, process, and technical blockers; act as a problem solver to bridge gaps and drive alignment.
- Engage in architectural discussions and provide technical direction when needed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and experimentation.
- Partner closely with Product Management and the UX Design team to maximize product value and ensure cohesive, user‑centric outcomes.
- Own the technical execution by defining the technology stack, guiding implementation approaches, and providing estimates and timelines to ensure predictable delivery.
What you bring
- 10+ years of professional experience including experience in leading engineering teams.
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or related engineering field.
- Passion for coaching engineers, managing performance, and building diverse, inclusive teams.
- Strong delivery management skills with hands-on experience in agile environments.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate conflict, build trust, and guide teams through rapid growth.
- Technical literacy sufficient to contribute to architectural discussions and remove engineering blockers.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning concepts and Large Language Models (LLMs) through academic, personal, or professional experience is a plus.
