What You’ll Build

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

Position title: SAP iXp Intern – Software Developer (File System Service)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria

Expected start date: March/April 2026 (6 months

You will work with a variety of technologies and tools, including:

• Development platforms: Cloud Foundry, BOSH
• IaaS providers: AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud
• Programming languages: Java, Go, Bash
• Engineering concepts: OOP, REST APIs, secure communication, unit testing
• Ways of working: DevOps, Scrum
• Frameworks, services, and systems: Terraform, PostgreSQL, Liquibase, Linux, SMB, NFS

You will be part of a small, highly skilled development team working in a dynamic, international, and evolving environment.

The File System Service (FSS) provides persistent, non-ephemeral storage for applications running in a Cloud Foundry environment. It enables applications to reliably read and write data and ensures data persistence across application restarts, making it a key component for stable and reliable cloud-native applications.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Active university student status
• Good knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Java, Go, or Bash)
• Fast learner with an open mindset
• Passion for developing skills and solving technical challenges
• Basic software engineering knowledge
• English fluency is required; Bulgarian is a plus
