Adobe seeks a Software Quality Engineer for its Android mobile team within the Video organization. The Opportunity
Our team is a creative and collaborative group building applications that unlock the creativity of our customers. Our Android mobile team is part of the larger Adobe Video organization, building video creation and editing experiences across desktop, mobile, and web. You will work with Product and Design partners to create new features and experiences.
We are looking for a hardworking and self-motivated, Software Quality Engineer with proven industry experience building Android applications. What you'll do:
- Perform hands-on testing of daily builds across multiple Android devices
- Work closely with a distributed team of designers, developers, and quality engineers on the design and specification of features
- Critically think about how consumers will interact with the software being tested, and turn those thoughts into action items like stories and bugs
- Plan and execute test activities in all aspects of a mobile video editing application
- Create test cases (acceptance, performance, functional, etc.) that ensure proper functionality of all implemented features
- File accurate, comprehensive bug reports, and verify fixes
- Work closely with iOS team and iOS app to ensure workflows across platforms work as expected
- Work in an agile development environment, coordinating with other teams to help ensure proper workflows throughout the entire app experience
- Embraces generative and AI-assisted coding and architectural patterns, and is eager to learn and adapt as development tools continue to evolve
- Provide accountability and ownership for all task assignments
What you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years equivalent QE industry experience
- Experience testing application software on Android
- iOS, Windows, and Mac OSX are a plus
- Experience editing video with mobile and/or desktop tools
- Passion for testing software, and a curiosity/excitement for technology
- Demonstrated familiarity with QE methodology, processes, and tools
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
- Good time management and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to achieve results with little supervision or direction
- Flexibility to move between tasks and sometimes across teams
- Ability to deliver against deadlines

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
