Join ING Hubs Philippines Android Chapter to develop reliable, high-performance Android applications using Kotlin and modern architecture patterns. You will participate in the integration and deployment of features, collaborate with stakeholders and mobile teams across local and international groups, and promote best practices within the mobile community. The role involves technical analysis of requirements, influencing architecture direction, and maintaining existing applications while solving production issues. You will also contribute to technical documentation and work in an Agile environment.

Job Overview

The Android Chapter is part of the mobile development IT Engineering department

within ING Hubs Philippines. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment, where fair and constructive feedback is encouraged. Our day-to-day task means interaction with various leadership levels of the organization and teams working at one (or more) of the ING Apps. You will take part in the integration and deployment of the features. You will be able to learn and share knowledge with your colleagues from the mobile community both here in the Philippines Hub and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of the engineering team, you will be developing reliable, high-

performance Android Application that is applying various Android development design principles and best practices. As the engineer, you are expected to:

Represent the mobile chapter to counterparties from the ING Group

Be proactive in promoting ‘Best Practices’ and share it in mobile chapter within the local community and abroad

Conduct technical analysis for business requirements

Influence the direction of the overall architecture

Working with both Business stakeholders and developers to establish mutual

understanding

Maintain and improving existing application

Analyze and solving production problemsTeamwork in an Agile environment

Manage technical documentations

Key Capabilities/Experience

Experience with Jetpack Libraries

Working with Git version control system

Understanding of SOLID Principles and other mobile app design patterns

Understanding of Modular App Architecture

Experience in Cross – Cultural group setting

Minimum Qualifications

Fluency in Android development using Kotlin

Experience with Android projects using Retrofit and Android Architecture

components like View Binding, View Model and Live Data

Experience with package, dependency management and continuous integration

(Gradle, Azure pipeline)

Experience in application architecture design (MVVM, MVP)

Experience in Dependency Injection framework (Dagger2, Hilt)

Experience with test automation and UI Test Automation (Espresso)
