About the Job
Join tribe FirmenOnline as a Senior Backend Developer to shape the future of Allianz’s digital platform FirmenOnline. Our tribe drives innovative service, consulting and sales solutions for our Corporate pension scheme customers. You’ll join an cross-functional team focused on shaping the best platform for our customer, representative and broker, working with modern web development technologies and frameworks in an agile environment where your ideas and expertise have real impact.
What you do
- Drive the continued development and operation of web services in the digital platform FirmenOnline in an agile team.
- Contribute your technical expertise when designing new features and take end-to-end responsibility for your developments.
- Contribute your own ideas and participate actively in discussions within and outside the team.
- Uphold agile values and contribute to a self-managing team’s planning and continuous improvement activities (e.g. Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Sprint Retrospective).
- Commit yourself to the team’s shared goals and work with your teammates.
What you bring
- Strong communication and teamwork; able to work independently and own outcomes.
- Strong customer orientation and enthusiasm for new technologies.
- In-depth knowledge from at least five years of professional and project experience in packaging, deployment and developing Spring Boot applications.
- A comprehensive mastery in the daily use of current Spring core components such as Dependency Injection, Configuration, Security, AOP, Logging, etc.
- A deep knowledge of the implementation of web-based server and client-side applications using Web MVC and REST with Java and Kotlin, each in the latest versions
- Proficient with Git and PR-based workflows; comfortable conducting and responding to code reviews (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
- Understanding of container-based cloud environments (especially Kubernetes, AWS, Azure).
- Experience with operation, maintenance, and further development if work results with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Jenkins/GitHub Actions), containerization and monitoring/observability (e.g. Dynatrace/Grafana).
- Experience with Quality assurance of developed components through unit, integration, and E2E tests
- Additionally, knowledge in both relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL and MongoDB) is desirable.
- Knowledge of agile principles and experience in working on at least one long-running agile project.
- Awareness of clean code and profound knowledge of design patterns and coding principles.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- The desire and ability to take on a lead developer role in the future
