The Amazon Payments team at the Amazon India Development Center in Bangalore is building the next generation of global payments systems that enhance how customers pay. The team manages Amazon-branded payment offerings worldwide, continuously expanding features and introducing new products. Our portfolio includes co-branded credit cards, gift cards, rewards-based payment options, and other payment solutions aimed at delivering a seamless customer experience.
This role offers opportunities to work on scalable, secure, and high-impact payments technologies. You will help define and implement extensible, multi-layered solutions that support both global and region-specific payment protocols and workflows.
Ideal candidates will bring a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals and hands-on experience building full-stack or large-scale distributed systems. Familiarity with web-based or service-oriented architectures, particularly at scale, is beneficial.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
