We build systems that process payments at an unprecedented scale, with accuracy, speed, and mission-critical availability.
The Amazon Payments Platform processes millions of transactions every day across numerous countries and payment methods. Our systems power financial flows of tens of billions of dollars annually, serving over 100 million customers and merchants at near–real-time speed. Key job responsibilities
- Work with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities for our customers.
· Work closely with SDEs ,Sr SDEs and SDMs to develop the best technical approach for new product development to solve business problems.
. Instill best practices for software development and documentation and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
· Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
· Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables.
· Write high quality distributed system software.
· Work in an agile, startup-like development environment, where you are always working on the most important stuff.
· Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, new services, and make recommendations for technology improvements that will help shape the future of podcast delivery architectures
· Deliver Proof-of-Concepts and proposals for integrations with emerging technologies
. Operational Excellence - monitoring & operation of production services.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
