We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Application Development Manager to join our WEALTH SERVICES ENGINEERING team. This role is located in Pune

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Should have worked in a medium to large-sized or multiple small teams responsible for all phases of the systems development and implementation process.
  • Should be thoroughly Hands-on to provide analysis, design, development, testing and ongoing support for the client area application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environments, software, hardware, technology, tools, etc.
  • Analyze organizational needs for application development and interfaces with clients to ensure systems are developed that meet their business requirements.
  • Oversee applications programming and analysis projects which include development, installation and maintenance of application programs.
  • Lead analysis of organizational needs for development and implementation of applications.
  • Interface regularly with clients and project managers to ensure that systems are developed to meet their business needs and specifications.
  • Ensure the availability, integrity and stability of production systems by identifying appropriate resources to manage all systems and having a process in place to respond quickly to problems.
  • Communicate and endorse strict adherence to development and quality standards and monitors adherence on an on-going basis.
  • Communicate timely and accurate project-related information to relevant parties. Acts as an advocate for change management, encourages innovation and creativity in technology solutions.
  • Recruit, direct, motivates and develop staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
  • Manage one or more development teams.
  • Partner with the other members of the Agile project team to provide software solution and technical support to meet business function needs.
  • Provide support to and work collaboratively with the business product owner and other members of the Agile team.
  • Work with business product owners directly to review business requirements, deliver business functionality as prioritized by the product owner, participate in the estimation process, and follow Agile/Scrum practices relating to software delivery.
  • Contribute to all aspects of the product development including daily Scrum meetings, Sprint and Product Backlog reviews, and solution development.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, with advanced degree preferred
  • Experience working with Java & Spring as back-end and Angular as Front end is must.
  • 16+ years of experience as Java developer/programmer, using a specific application development toolkit and knowledge of front end and backend development coding languages (Java 17.0, Spring 5, Spring boot 3, HTML, CSS, JSON, Angular, JavaScript)
  • Design Patterns/Architectural Principles
  • Agile / Scrum
  • Test-driven development: Junit, FitNesse
  • Java 17 and above, J2EE / Tomcat
  • Spring: MVC, REST, SpringBoot
  • MicroServices/Docker
  • JMS / MQ
  • Maven
  • Git
  • Jenkins
  • Any database (Oracle/MongoDB)
  • Confluence / Jira Agile Tools
  • AI Adoption
  • Kafka, Activiti, Drools
  • UI: Javascript, Angular, Bootstrap
