Capgemini is seeking a Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications using Spring and Spring Boot. You will build RESTful services and backend components for digital banking platforms, work with XML-based integrations, optimize SQL for Oracle databases, and leverage Spring Batch where applicable. You will contribute to platform and integration efforts using application servers such as WebLogic Portal and Apache Camel (CXF) as needed. This role requires 3–5 years of hands-on Java backend experience and a strong foundation in Java, Spring, and Oracle databases.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain Java based backend applications using Spring and Spring Boot.
• Build RESTful services and backend components for digital banking platforms.
• Work with XML based integrations and messaging patterns.
• Develop and optimize SQL for Oracle databases.
• Schedule processing using Spring Batch (where applicable).
Platform & Integration
• Work with application servers such as WebLogic Portal.
• Develop integrations using Apache Camel (CXF) when required.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands on experience in Java backend development.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Working knowledge of Oracle databases and SQL.
• Experience with XML and backend integrations.
• Experience with shell scripting in Unix based environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise application development in regulated environments.
