The role is to design, develop, document, troubleshoot and debug secure, scalable Java/Spring applications with minimal mentoring to support CME Group's risk-management needs. Responsibilities include building application modules and unit tests, conducting system and some integration testing, and aiding in code reviews, deployments, release notes and notifications while adhering to CME Group SDLC and information security standards. The candidate will collaborate with business teams to define and refine requirements and communicate design ideas using established patterns. Location is Bangalore, India, with a focus on delivering reliable technology solutions for a global marketplace.
The Ld Software Engineer engineer secure, scalable and reliable technology solutions, with minimal mentoring, to advance CMEG in the global marketplace and serve risk management needs of customers around the world.
Principal Accountabilities:
Designs, develops, documents, troubleshoots and debugs in Java/Spring.
Demonstrates skill in language proficiency.
Writes application modules and unit tests with minimal guidance.
Conducts system-wide testing and some integration testing.
Provides input for code reviews and helps with environment build deployments, release notes and notifications.
Reviews code to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues and defects and helps to identify sources of defects as well as troubleshoots various forms of code.
Work with business to define/refine/finalize requirements.
Uses design tools to frequently share and communicate design ideas.
Uses patterns frequently, contributing to best practice and process enhancements.
Embraces and enforces CME Group SDLC and information security standards.
Essential Criteria:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent/better strongly preferred, but substantial relevant experience could substitute.
Hands on experience with Java, Spring
Hands on experience with DB skills (SQL)
Knowledge of server-side design patterns and continuous design principles (CICD)
Proficient with build tools Git and Maven
Good problem solving, troubleshooting
Good communication skills
Desirable Criteria:
Experience in GCP services
Good to have unix/linux experience
Experience in developing and automating solutions directly related to Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery and infrastructure automation.
Experience in working with remote teams, different time zones
Leads/Clarifies code evolution in code reviews
