• Participating in the development of new reusable services based on complex business requirements to implement the functionalities of the product.
• Integrating backend systems from the Commerzbank IT landscape to realize the functionality of your team’s applications.

• Proficiency in Java and previous experience in development of RESTful Web Services;
• Very good understanding of object-oriented design;
• Previous experience and high knowledge of relational databases;
• Previous experience with unit testing and preparation of technical documentation;
• Good knowledge of messaging services (Kafka, Google Pub/Sub);
• Some experience with CI/CD and OpenShift;
• Previous experience with reactive programming will be considered a plus;
• Previous experience or good knowledge of TypeScript and React will be considered a plus;
• Analytical thinking with attention to details and problem-solving attitude;
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills;
• Fluency in English - both written and spoken;
• University degree in IT or relevant.

By using advanced technologies, we are developing new services in various environments focusing predominantly on a cloud approach. The various teams are running in an agile approach (Scrum and partially Kanban).

As a Java Developer, you will play a major role in the development and enhancement of different software applications using various technologies. You will collaborate closely with other Developers, Business Experts, Architects, DevOps and Quality Assurance specialists in order to ensure the best functionalities and highest quality for the products owned by your team. You should already have meaningful experience in the development of web applications with microservice architecture, running in cloud environment. You will be part of an agile international team, and you will be given the opportunity to learn many new technologies and develop yourself further.
