The Java Backend Engineer will design and develop core application modules while maintaining technical infrastructure and participating in customer meetings. The role requires over 5 years of Java experience and familiarity with Springboot, Agile tools, and various protocols. DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Opened in January 2014, the Bucharest office is constantly expanding. The team is made up of enthusiastic professionals that work in an international environment, learning new technologies as part of Deutsche Banks’ businesses. Responsibilities: - Design and development of core application modules - Participation in meetings with the customer - Maintaining project technical infrastructure (continuous integration, automated deployment) - Task decomposition and estimation - Peer review, mentoring - Bug fixing, test writing Skills/Experience: - Java development experience 5+ years - Good understanding of Springboot - Good understanding of Java coding standards and patterns - Good understanding of various protocols: JMS, HTTP - Experience with SOA and Web Services (REST/SOAP) - Experience with database applications such as Oracle SQL - Good understanding of security protocols (SSL, TLS, certificates handling etc) - Used with Agile development methodologies and tools: Jira, Git, Maven, Teamcity, Jenkins, Artifactory and other continuous integration tools Here you can find: - 24 days’ holiday + loyalty days + bank holidays (week days offered for bank holidays on weekend days); - Flexible working hours and working from home; - Private healthcare and life insurance; - A culture of continuous learning with coaching and support from experts in your team.
