Lead QA Engineer (f/m/x) – Operations and Client Services

Job ID: Full/Part-Time: Full-time
Regular/Temporary: Regular Listed: 2026-02-11
Location: Berlin

Position Overview

Deutsche Bank Technology in Berlin

DB Technology is a global team of tech specialists, spread across multiple trading hubs and tech centres. We have a strong focus on promoting technical excellence – our engineers work at the forefront of financial services innovation using cutting-edge technologies.

Our Berlin location is our most recent addition to our global network of tech centres and growing strongly. We are committed to building a diverse workforce and to creating excellent opportunities for talented engineers and technologists. Our tech teams and business units use agile ways of working to create #GlobalHausbank solutions from our home market.

Operations and Client Services

Our team supports and enables other domains in the Corporate Bank like liquidity management, payments, trade finance and lending to operate more efficiently and provide value to our clients more quickly. For this purpose, we are building a digital and automated Client Onboarding platform to grow revenue and reduce friction (costs/manual processes). The aim is to create a single product agnostic global Client Onboarding platform with self-service capability for the clients to request new deals and get setup quickly in order to transact.

As a Lead QA Engineer (f/m/x), you will help us to ensure and maintain the quality of our platform and the applications that run on top of it. We are looking for a hands-on engineer with significant experience leading QA teams, interfacing with different stakeholders and developing end-to-end testing frameworks that help making our solutions for Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Bank production-ready.

Your key responsibilities

  • Work with end users, BAs, QAs, UX, dev teams and project managers on requirements, test design and test planning
  • Lead a team of QA engineers to perform exploratory, functional, regression, performance, and usability testing
  • Design and develop a testing framework for a general business process platform as well as concrete business process implementations
  • Write clear, maintainable and reusable test code and take part in code reviews to ensure that automated tests are developed at high quality standards
  • Work in a cross disciplined agile team with shared responsibility and high autonomy

Your skills and experiences

  • At least 10 years of in-depth QA experience, including as a QA lead
  • Experience organizing and performing integration testing across multiple systems
  • Advanced proficiency in QA automation technologies for distributed, JVM-based backend systems as well as web-based frontend applications
  • Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps a plus
  • Experience working within Agile teams, applying iterative development and rapid feedback to continuously improve solutions

What we offer

We provide you with a comprehensive portfolio of benefits and offerings to support both, your private and professional needs.

  • Emotionally and mentally balanced
A positive mind helps us master the challenges of everyday life – both professionally and privately. We offer consultation in difficult life situations as well as mental health awareness trainings.

  • Physically thriving
We support you in staying physically fit through an offering to maintain personal health and a professional environment. You can benefit from health check-ups; vaccination drives as well as advice on healthy living and nutrition.

  • Socially connected
Networking opens up new perspectives, helps us thrive professionally and personally as well as strengthens our self-confidence and well-being. You can benefit from PME family service, FitnessCenter Job, flexible working (e.g parttime, hybrid working, job tandem) as well as an extensive culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • Financially secure
We provide you with financial security not only during your active career but also for the future. You can benefit from offerings such as pension plans, banking services, company bicycle or “Deutschlandticket”.
