A multi-strategy hedge fund is seeking a Junior to Mid Level Full Stack Engineer to join a small, centralised tech team. The role involves building data-heavy applications and responsive UIs using a modern tech stack including Java and React, with direct user exposure. Experience with cloud technologies and an interest in finance are valued.
My client is a well-established multi-strategy hedge fund hiring for a Junior / Mid Level Full Stack Engineer.
You’ll work in a flat-structured, centralised tech team (<10 people) headed by the CTO. They’re responsible for building tech solutions across multiple verticals (Trading, Risk, Operations…) and have direct exposure to Portfolio Managers. You will be working on data heavy applications and build responsive UIs for Portfolio Managers.
The firm average retention rate for engineers is 5+ years, they use a modern tech stack (Java21 / AWS / Docker / K8s) and devs work directly with end users (they don’t employs product / project managers).
Requirements:
- Commercial experience in React (UI, data visualisation) and Java
- Any experience with cloud tech / distributed systems is highly valued
- Experience in finance is ideal but not mandatory – a demonstrable interest is though
