Software Engineer (Java) – Quant Trading – London – Up to £150,000 + bonus

Durlston Partners is working with a leading Quant Trading firm seeking a Software Engineer (Java), where your Java expertise directly powers real-time market decisions. You’ll build high-performance, low-latency services, optimise JVM performance, and collaborate closely with traders and quants on systems that handle massive data streams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and optimize core Java trading infrastructure
  • Improve performance, throughput, and reliability of real-time systems
  • Work with trading teams to implement and deploy new ideas quickly

What They’re Looking For:

  • Relevant working in Systematic Trading/Crypto/Finance
  • Strong Java skills, concurrency, and performance tuning experience
  • Background in high-throughput or real-time systems
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast, iterative environment
