The Role
The FFIO Pricing & Billing Technology team is looking for an experienced Director Full Stack Engineer to accelerate support for alternative investments within the billing platform initiatives and to develop new and enhance existing capabilities. The position is based in Westlake, Texas and will provide technical leadership with strong focus on engineering excellence. We're looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in a collaborative, iterative, and fast-paced environment focusing on business outcomes.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
12+ years of hands-on experience in full stack application development with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Camel, JMS, Apache Kafka, relational databases (Oracle) and deploying application in Kubernetes environments.
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, TypeScript, Node, NPM, Rx JS)
A solid and strong foundation in software engineering and design patterns with focus on engineering excellence. Experience in reverse engineering and understanding existing applications.
Delivery focus with the ability to take full ownership, Proven track record in driving innovation and strategic transformation through emerging technologies and architectural modernization.
Aspiration and skills to drive technology roadmaps for establishment and rollout of engineering standards, technology direction, and product architecture.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at a given time, self-directed, results oriented
Experience in building high-performing teams in a fast-paced collaborative environment and accelerating business outcomes by delivering solutions effectively.
Ability to quickly learn and adopt diverse technologies, think strategically: Strong problem-solving skills. Hands on work style: Dynamic can-do attitude, proactive and curious in nature.

Work with product leaders on requirements, decompose epics into stories, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed business partner expectations.
Align technology initiatives with business objectives and deliver scalable, future-ready solutions.
The individual is expected to be hands on active contributor 30% of the time on programming/software development.
Champion adopting AI-driven development tools (e.g., code assistants) by development teams to accelerate delivery.
Coach engineers across multiple levels, craft frameworks for skills progression, influence careers, and build leadership skills.
Establish and enforcing coding standards, design patterns, and best practices across teams. Implement robust code review processes and quality gates to ensure maintainability.
Tightly aligned; loosely coupled: Establish or enhance partnerships across the organization to ensure alignment towards enterprise standards, tools and reusability while providing direction for teams to operate autonomously.
Provide a fresh technology perspective to resolve business problems that require quick turnaround and / or strategic scale.
The Expertise below will be a Plus
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any other discipline
Experience modernizing legacy system and building digital workflows
Experience in building/modernizing applications in Financial services or Asset Management industry (Alternative Investments).
The Team
Fidelity Fund Investment Operations (FFIO) provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting, and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity.
