Key Responsibilities 

  • Writing Java code on regular basis to manage the entire infrastructure via code.
  • Ownership and execution for releasing the products every sprint - Managing the deployment of various products in production and ensuring the plant is up and running abiding the regulation of Change Management team.
  • Collaborating with the development/product team to gather infra/SDLC/network related changes every sprint and delivering them on time.
  • Proactively follow up for any dependency with teams/stakeholders and taking it to closure.
  • Setting up the entire SDLC flow for any new product onboard - increasing developer productivity.
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
  • Setup monitoring and alerting for the plant and ensure runbooks are created for L1/L2 teams to use.
  • Work closely with software developers, QA engineers, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
  • Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and solutions.
  • Develop scripts (Python, Bash) and custom tools to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Owning the routing components of the project and ensuring compliance/updates on regular basis.
  • Participate in white-boarding and architectural updates with leads, express views, suggestions and agree on terms. 

Required Experience 

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in development, infrastructure, monitoring, production management and release process. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields 
  • Exceptional communication skills – verbal and email
  • Experience in working with agile methodologies - sprints - Comfort with working in a rapidly evolving environment 
  • Problem identifying, solving and implementing with new technologies and tools
  • Tenacity. Someone who is willing to go beyond their comfort zone and be proactive, as needed.
  • Eager to learn on the floor, open minded to share thoughts and take suggestions 
  • Availability and Adaptive to changes on the go and work in line with the business needs.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proficiency in writing java code for business requirements/infrastructure provisioning. (Typescript, OOPS)
  • Hands-on experience working with IAC, cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash).
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Understanding of networking, operating systems (Linux), and databases.
  • Knowledge of Webservers, proxies, CDN and caching.
  • Exposure to Cloudwatch, Splunk, Prometheus, Monitoring tools.
