Concert Platform Overview 

The Concert Platform delivers a comprehensive suite of software products, providing the foundational infrastructure for developing and deploying front-office business applications. It ensures standardization and adheres to best practices in scalability, resilience, concurrency control, and quality. Key use cases for Concert include critical functions such as order management, asset transfer, and portfolio management across the firm. Concert modularizes common functional logic, significantly accelerating development cycles and preventing redundant efforts across its diverse stakeholders. At the core of this ecosystem is the Concert Transaction Processor, a distributed event processor renowned for its robust transactional guarantees and automatic fine-grained concurrency control, capabilities that distinguish it from conventional workflow frameworks.

Concert is a rapidly expanding ecosystem, experiencing escalating demands and a critical need for scalability. Last year, the platform processed over half a billion events, facilitating approximately 10 trillion dollars in notional value traded, all while maintaining exceptionally low event handling latency. Its widespread adoption spans three divisions and over 30 trading and non-trading desks within Goldman Sachs, with an accelerating rate of integration projected for the coming years.

Your Role Within Concert 

the Concert team is actively seeking talented Java Developers to join our global development hub in BLR, India. In this role, you will be instrumental in implementing innovative capabilities within the Concert ecosystem, refactoring and enhancing existing components, and providing critical platform-as-a-service support to our internal clients. We are looking for individuals with a strong passion for developing high-performance distributed trading applications within a service-oriented architecture, emphasizing resiliency, optimal performance, and uncompromising quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • 1-3+ years of professional experience in software development and engineering.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex challenges into robust software solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in core Java development, including expertise with common testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit),  Spring
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with distributed systems and messaging frameworks, such as Apache Kafka.
  • Proficiency in database technologies, including NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • A strong passion for continuous learning and adapting to new technologies and skillsets as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, including services like Containers (ECS/EKS), CloudFormation, MSK, and Aurora.
