We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

Principal responsibilities

• Provide application support to the assigned investment decision support application, be responsible to ensure the production issues resolved in timely manner
• Provide problem management to the assigned application and be responsible to properly fix the problem by following delivery lifecycle
• Perform detailed functional and non-functional analysis (data, systems and interfaces). Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and designs seeking efficient and effective solutions to business problems.
• Analyse and manage the technical impact and scope of changing requirements
• Operate within a technical peer review environment to ensure the quality of deliverables meets HSBC internal IT controls, process and governance.
• Ensure smooth transition to live operations in conjunction with production support teams
• Understand stakeholder needs and communicate to all stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Contribute to establishing usability and good UI/UX design in the technical deliverables.
• Contribute to establishing ETL process for data streaming and transformation in the technical deliverables.
• Contribute to establishing fund score calculation engine in the technical deliverables.
• Production, quality assurance and sign-off of all documents required as part of the project lifecycle.
• Validate documented requirements with all stakeholders and ensure shared accessibility to all stakeholders.

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications

• Experienced in DevSecOps and familiar with its toolset, e.g. Jenkins, Ansible, Checkmarx, Netsparker, NexusIQ, etc
• Experienced in Java, Spring Boot, ASP .NET.
• Demonstrated experience working with Database structures and data querying tools
• Expert in writing technical functional and non-functional requirements
• Experience of working with various Development Lifecycle Methodologies (Agile/SDLC etc)
• Expert in MS Office tools and integration
• Experience of working with APIs and micro-service architectures.
• Nice to have experience in Asset/Investment Management.
• Nice to have knowledge in GCP. e.g. Compute Engine, GKE, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Big Query. Experienced in policy configuration.

• Good to have Google Cloud related certificates, SAFe related certificates
