Job Overview

Join ING Retail Tech PH as a Backend Engineer where you will be part of a cross-functional team of talented individuals. Together, your team will work with the latest technologies to innovate and develop solutions. You will report to a Squad Lead who will guide your professional development and help you reach your full potential.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain reliable applications

•Write automated tests

•Setup CI/CD pipelines

•Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define and design features

•Incorporate security best practices into all stages of the development

•Contribute to the team’s growth through mentorship and technical interview

•Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends

Key Capabilities/Experience

•Proven track-record of building backend solutions, including implementing RESTful APIs,

interfacing with databases, and integrating with messaging services, using a modern

tech stack

•Strong fundamentals in software development, including proficiency in OOP, functional

programming, design patterns, concurrency, and TDD

•Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation

•Experience working in Agile, collaborating with teams, and demonstrating adaptability

in a multicultural environment•Willingness to learn cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and IT risk

Minimum Qualifications

Must Have

•Proficiency in Java 8 or higher, Java 11 or higher is preferred

•Competency in Spring and Spring boot

•Experience in code versioning tools, preferably Git

•Experience in Test Automation (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)

•Working knowledge in RESTful API Development

•Effective Communication

Good to Have

•Experience with database technologies such as SQL, JPA, Hibernate, etc.

•Working knowledge in Microservices Architecture, Containerization, and Orchestration

•Experience with CI/CD platforms, preferably Azure DevOps, and build tools such as

Maven

•An Agile mindset
