Java Engineer role with ING Wholesale Banking Lending Services, focusing on creating, developing and supporting advanced applications for the Wholesale Lending line of business. The engineer will be assigned to WB Tech Lending COI 2 and collaborate with Manila engineers, business stakeholders, and counterparts in NL. Key responsibilities include proposing solutions with new technologies, building and deploying applications for Lifecycle Management, and developing Java microservices and REST APIs using Spring, Hibernate and related frameworks. The role requires experience with Java, Spring modules, microservices, CI/CD tools, Agile/DevOps, and container technologies such as Docker and OpenShift.

Job Overview
• Creating, developing and supporting advanced business applications for the Wholesale Lending line of business
• Will be assigned to WB Tech Lending COI 2
• Will be interacting with Manila Engineers(COI2), business stakeholders and counterparts in NL
Key Responsibilities
• Searching and proposing solutions using the newest technologies.
• Creating, developing and supporting applications within the Wholesale Lending line of business.
• Building and deploying applications needed for Lifecycle Management
Key Capabilities/Experience
• Advanced knowledge of Java 8. Knowledge of Java 11 and beyond is preferred
• Experience of using various spring modules like Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Batch
• Experience in developing Java Microservices – REST APIs
• Knowledge of Hibernate Framework
• Very good knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge and know how on ING Frameworks – Merak, Touchpoint and Kafka
• Knowledge of Continuous Delivery Tools: Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, TFS, Azure DevOps
• Prior experience of working in an Agile/DevOps environment
• Knowledge of Micro-Services architecture, dispersion services, scalability, container technologies: Docker, OpenShift.
• Skills in writing scripts using Bash or Python
