Your Team

The Digital Tool & Services Engineering team is responsible for the development and optimization of Invesco’s proprietary software applications. Our portfolio includes a suite of client facing value-add tools, and self-servicing experiences aimed to differentiate us in the market and drive client retention. We are a full stack team with expertise in architecture design, data management, API developments, UX Development, and CI/CD. We operate in an Agile/Scrum and LEAN environment and embrace the frequent pivoting that comes with shipping a best-in class experience.


Your Role
We are looking for a self-motivated Sr Full Stack Software Engineer with strong programming fundamentals, and software development best practices to help accelerate our strategic priorities. Your code will directly impact our business outcomes and meeting client expectations. The candidate should be an innovator, highly technical, and passionate about speed, quality, and building amazing products

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain highly performant API-driven web applications on our stack (React, SASS, Java, Spring Boot, MuleSoft).
  • Design and implement REST APIs to industry/company standards
  • Work with our product managers to properly prioritize our new feature development, feature iteration and ongoing maintenance and support
  • Interact with engineering members across the organization to ensure consistency in engineering practices and foster active exchange of ideas
  • Ability to collaborate and operate in a global organization where team members may be in different regions and time zones
  • Perform peer code reviews, unit test and enforce best practices
  • Active participating in agile ceremonies to allow us to prioritize the right work and improve velocity (e.g., daily standup, release and sprint planning, demos, scrum of scrums).


The Experience You Bring:

  • 6+ years hands-on experience as software engineer with a deep proficiency in Java back-end technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Express.js etc.,
  • Ideally 4+ years’ experience with developing API in MuleSoft and 3+ years’ experience in front-end frameworks, such as React and Angular
  • Have experience building and debugging microservices systems in cloud environments. Ability to work with core AWS Services
  • Experience working in an Agile team and environment
  • Experienced working with software engineering support systems and tools such as Git, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, Bamboo, Gulp, Bower, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, Log4j
  • Familiar with SSO solutions, such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID
  • A passion for technology and building common software solutions that enables our team to release faster
  • Self-motivated. Capable of working with little or no supervision

Academic requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry a plus
