Lead Software Engineer on an agile Consumer and Community Banking technology team at JPMorgan Chase, responsible for designing, developing, testing, and delivering secure, scalable cloud-native solutions. As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking's technology team , you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, testing, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Develops, debugs, and maintains secure high-quality code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages; knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies and experience with testing including requirements, test planning, scripting, execution and analysis; experience/exposure to cloud testing/best practices
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability within a cloud environment (AWS)
- Practical cloud native experience in AWS
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes (EKS)
- Experience with migrating functionality from legacy systems into modern architecture
- Expertise in automated testing and continuous delivery ideologies
- Proficient understanding of Agile methodologies
- Advanced understanding of Applicant Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within distributed cloud deployments and cloud native architectures
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Experience communicating technical directives at all levels from executive to associate
- AWS Aurora Postgres,DynamoDB,EKS,EC2,CloudWatch
