As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the

Consumer and Community Banking technology -  Deposits Platform, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Owns and leads the governance of quality coverage across all scrum teams, including unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing
  • Defines and monitors quality metrics such as coverage percentage, defect leakage, and automation effectiveness
  • Acts as the bridge between development and quality enablement, driving consistency and best practices across teams
  • Leads, maintains and evolves test frameworks, tools, and CI/CD quality gates to support robust automation   
  • Fosters a team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect, supporting collaboration and professional growth in quality initiatives

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  •  Deep expertise in test automation frameworks, for backend APIs and stream services, integrating coverage and quality metrics
  • Solid understanding of contract testing, mocking frameworks, service virtualization, and automation best practices
  • Advanced knowledge of agile methodologies, application resiliency, security, shift-left quality enablement
  • Experience creating scalable microservices using Java, and Spring Boot,
  • Strong experience in CI/CD toolsets (including GIT, Jenkins, JUnit, and Mockito) to develop high-quality software
  • 3+ yrs of hands-on leadership experience with varying levels of Software Engineers in an agile Scrum environment

     

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
 
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
  • Exposure to cloud technologies
Carry out critical tech solutions across multiple technical areas as an integral part of an agile team
