As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Commercial and Investment Banking , you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to the team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
- Set overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
- Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements.
- Work at the code level and manage technologists.
- Utilize automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Apply advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Formal training or certification on DevOps concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Proficiently manage all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Development expertise, with specific focus on Java technology (Core & EE) with Spring Frameworks (Spring Core & Spring Boot) as well as Python development experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
- Deep understanding of relational DB (Sybase & Oracle) and Stored Procedures.
- Strong knowledge and application of SCM & Build tools (Maven, Jenkins, Git, Subversion, SONAR); DevOps knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
- Experience with microservices, integration patterns, and messaging technologies (e.g., JMS, MQ Series, Kafka).
- Experience with job scheduling technologies like Autosys and Control-M and testing tools like Mockito or JMeter.
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture.
- Experience working in an Agile Environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience with caching solutions.
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
- UI development experience.
- Experience in UNIX and scripting languages (Shell, Perl).
- Cloud Development Experience.
