Lead Software Engineer role within JPMorgan Chase's Customer Identity and Authentication team in Hyderabad, India. You will lead cross-regional reference data teams, collaborate with product, operations, business and technology teams to deliver well-engineered solutions for Global Instrument Master platform. As a Lead Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within Customer identity and Authentication, you will be leading our cross-regional reference data teams. Your role will involve collaborating with Product, Operations, Business & Technology consumers across the trade life cycle and technology teams to deliver well-engineered solutions to complex business problems. You will be tasked with designing and building software to cater to the needs of Global Instrument Master platform.

Job responsibilities: 

  • Provide leadership and management of the team providing guidance on best practice and architecture for Global Instrument Master's Architecture, Development and SRE teams.
  • Partner with the global leads for the areas to ensure a consistent approach to backlog management and agile process.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design engineering solutions to complex business problems including collaboration with Ops team to identify opportunities.
  • Participate as part of Global Instrument Master's Architecture leadership teams help shape the vision for these platforms and help drive this vision with the India based engineering teams.
  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
  • Apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies, to diverse and complex projects of moderate to large scope.
  • Provide input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for immediate and broader team.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborations.
  • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Formal training or certification on computer science/engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. 
  • Experience in Financial Services Technology space dealing with data.
  • Proficient in coding  and building microservices in Java, Spring Boot, AWS
  • Experience in Databases - NoSQL - CASSANDRA or Postgres, Kafka
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Expert in Agility practices, SDLC processes, CICD, application resiliency and security.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with prior experience of influencing across matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages., Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills to provide solution to complex business problems.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Exposure to AI and ML technologies.
  • Experience of cloud technologies.
