As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering in Consumer and Community Banking, you will lead and inspire agile engineering teams to deliver scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python and microservices. You will drive technical strategy, architecture and best practices across SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD and automated testing while leveraging AWS services (Lambda, ECS, Glue, SQS) and Kafka. The role requires strong leadership EQ, executive presence, stakeholder communication and mentoring skills to grow engineering talent and ensure delivery excellence.

Job Responsibilities

Provide strategic and technical leadership to software engineering teams, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.

Oversee the design, development, and deployment of full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python, and microservices architecture.

Champion best practices in SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing (JUnit).

Architect and implement solutions leveraging AWS Cloud services (Lambda, ECS, Glue, SQS, etc.).

Ensure high standards of code quality, security, and performance.

Foster executive presence and effective communication with stakeholders and leadership.

Drive adoption of modern engineering tools and frameworks, including Kafka and microservices.

Mentor and develop engineering talent, promoting continuous learning and growth.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Proven experience in software engineering leadership roles.

Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Python, and full-stack development.

Proven experience in SDLC, microservices, DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing (JUnit).

Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services (Lambda, ECS, Glue, SQS, etc.).

Familiarity with Kafka and distributed systems.

Demonstrated leadership EQ and executive presence.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services or large-scale enterprise environments.

Track record of driving engineering best practices and innovation.

Lead and inspire engineering teams to deliver innovative, scalable software solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
