As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Consumer Community Banking line of business, you serve in a leadership role by providing technical coaching and advisory for multiple technical teams, as well as anticipate the needs and potential dependencies of other functions within the firm. As an expert in your field, your insights influence budget and technical considerations to advance operational efficiencies and functionalities.

Job responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems 
  • Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to senior software engineers working on end-to-end problems for the API platform of Consumer and Community Banking
  • Be accountable for decisions that influence team resources, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
  • Ensure successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders
  • Provide input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team
  • Create a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for team members, and prioritize diverse representation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 10+ years experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Applied and hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in Java, Spring Boot with deep understanding of building cloud native applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivery of complex software systems and features that have cross team impacts Knowledge of designing and building Cloud native application (AWS) 
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods 
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle 
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline
Serve in a leadership role by providing technical coaching and advisory for technical teams
