As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Testing Center of Excellence Team, you will play a pivotal role in our global team.. Your responsibilities will include conducting systematic application functionality tests, diligently documenting results, and ensuring clear communication with all relevant stakeholders. Your expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, Java, and BDD/TDD will be vital in ensuring the superior quality of our software and promptly resolving any issues. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to our monthly/quarterly testing results reports and to automate Regression and Functional test cases.

Job responsibilities

  • Perform regression and functional user acceptance testing for WFT applications.
  • Assist in parallel running of current and new scenarios to validate results.
  • Document UAT test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Define and prepare necessary test data for various testing phases.
  • Identify and analyze defects, collaborating with Operations teams for quality assurance and timely bug resolution.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly reports on testing results in addition to regular testing duties.
  • Automate regression and functional test cases to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with technology teams for BDD implementation.
  • Automate test design using appropriate testing tools.
  • Conduct automation feasibility studies and derive return on investment (ROI).
  • Apply practical experience in test automation with Java, Selenium, BDD Cucumber, API testing, and database knowledge, utilizing one or more automation tools.

  • Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

    • Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience 

    • Demonstrate expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, and Java.
    • Apply expertise in BDD/TDD (Behavior Driven Development/Test Driven Development).
    • Utilize version control systems such as Bitbucket and Git.
    • Develop automation frameworks using core Java.
    • Maintain Keyword, Data, and Hybrid automation frameworks.
    • Manage test data using SQL.
    • Prepare and deliver comprehensive test reports.
    • Apply knowledge of Agile practices in testing environments.
    • Use test design tools such as Conformiq.
    • Apply performance testing knowledge using JMeter.

     

    Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Demonstrate proficiency in performance testing using JMeter.
  • Implement advanced test design strategies with tools like Conformiq.
  • Mentor team members in automation best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in test automation processes.
  • Serve as an emerging member of an agile team to design and deliver market-leading technology products in a secure and scalable way
