Senior full‑stack engineer role within JP Morgan Chase's Global Private Bank technology organization, responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable asset and wealth management systems. You'll build Java/Spring microservices and React frontends, work with AWS, Kubernetes, and relational/noSQL data stores, and produce high‑quality, production‑ready code. The role involves contributing to architecture and design artifacts, troubleshooting complex technical problems, and participating in agile teams and engineering communities. Emphasis is on automation (CI/CD), testing practices, and continuous improvement of system and code quality.

As a Software Engineer III at JP Morgan Chase within the Global Private Bank in Asset and Wealth Management Technology business, your role involves being a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Experience in a software development.
  • Strong JAVA programming experience with good knowledge of Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Restful Services etc.
  • Good exposure to building Reactjs frontend components
  • Working knowledge in AWS Cloud, kubernetes and Microservice development 
  • Good understanding in data persistence Postgres/Oracle (SQL or noSQL) data paradigms
  • Object oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
  • Proven working experience in agile development
  • Strong familiarity with Software Engineering practices and good knowledge of automated build, deployment, CI/CD and TDD/BDD

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Git, Bitbucket and CI/CD awareness
  • Preferably having knowledge of Investment management including Private Equity
  • Knowledge of Tableau will be added advantage
