As a Software Engineer III on the Consumer and Community Banking technology team in Hyderabad, you will design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable Java-based services within an agile team. You will develop and maintain production-quality code using core Java, Spring, REST, microservices, Kafka, containers, and Oracle RDBMS, and contribute to architecture and design artifacts. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, data analysis for continuous improvement, participating in CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven/Gradle), code reviews, and contributing to engineering best practices. The role requires 3+ years of applied software engineering experience.

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and community banking technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on experience on core Java, Spring and REST services
- Strong Java, J2EE and Micro services design and development experience.
- Strong experience in RDBMS(Oracle)
- Strong technical development experience on effectively writing code, code reviews, best practices code refactoring
- Hands-on knowledge on cloud Technology. Containers and Kafka or any streaming technology
- Experience with various source control tools like GIT
- Good understanding of Jenkins CI/CD, Maven/Gradle
- Excellent knowledge in developing resilient and high quality deliverables.
- Solution driven attitude and multitasker
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to Public cloud technologies
- Good to have experience in Splunk, Dynatrace tools
