As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing of mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define test automation strategies.
•  Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects and issues to the development team.
• Continuously improve and optimize test automation processes and tools to increase efficiency and coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
• Take part in in-sprint automation testing with overall ownership of story closure without spillover.
• Write UI and API tests covering all scenarios as per feature file.
• Execute and set up testing environments in the cloud and run daily automation builds on Jules.
• Work independently with limited supervision, demonstrating excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, analytical, organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience 
• Hands-on automation (Core Java, Selenium, Junit/TestNG, Cucumber, Soap UI, REST, API, Xcode, Eclipse IDE, Maven, Jenkins, IntelliJ and similar tools) experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills with hands-on coding expertise.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python.
• Proficient in Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured.
• Strong knowledge of performance testing and exposure to tools/methodologies. 
• Experience in creating a new Automation Framework. 
• Eager to learn new tools, technologies and approaches.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time management.
• Excellent in Verbal and Written Communication. 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience in creating automation scripts for mobile(iOS, Android) applications. 
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Good understanding of REST and SOAP APIs 
• Independently design, develop, test, and deliver Test Automation Solutions supporting UAT and UAT testing 
• Exposure to cloud technologies and experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
