Join JPMC as a Software Engineer working across the full SDLC to design, develop and maintain secure, scalable applications and microservices. Collaborate with Product Analysts and Engineering Leads to translate requirements into Java/Spring Boot microservices on AWS and Pivotal Cloud Foundry, leveraging Kafka for event streaming and a mix of RDBMS and NoSQL datastores. Utilize CI/CD toolchains (GIT/Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube), IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation), feature flagging, blue/green deployments and automated rollbacks to deliver high-quality production software. Apply strong security practices (data encryption, certification management) and Agile methodologies to ensure resilient, performant systems.

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Work with Product Analysts on software requirements for new features of JPMC applications. Work with Engineering Leads and Principal Engineers on technical requirements in terms of developing software. Work in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Apply skills on programming languages, DevOps, Apache Kafka and databases as per JPMC standard, and develop software based on assignment. Develop Microservices in JPMC private cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Solve technical problems on application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines. Perform unit testing of developed software. Apply Agile principals as per JPMC standard and collaborate with the team to deliver assignments on time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Systems Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: secure programming with JAVA, J2EE, and Python; safeguarding financial customer data and privacy by employing data encryption at rest and data encryption in transit including symmetric encryption, asymmetric encryption, Hash Functions, and digital certification management; creating scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot for financial services; utilizing CI/CD toolsets, including GIT, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Junit, and Mockito to develop high-quality software within the financial industry; experience in Infrastructure-as-code (IAC) including Terraform or AWS CloudFormation; utilizing Kafka-based distributed event streaming applications to construct real-time data pipelines; experience one of the following Agile Methodologies: Kanban, LeSS, Scaled Agile, Extreme Programming, or Test Driven Development; deploying features in a production environment with minimal disruption; utilizing blue/green deployment; utilizing Split.io or feature flagging; utilizing automated production rollbacks; creating highly scalable and resilient applications on AWS and Pivotal Cloud Foundry to ensure rapid response times that positively impact bank customers; using RDBMS with Oracle and PostgreSQL and NoSQL with DynamoDB and MongoDB databases to efficiently store and retrieve data; optimizing database performance and effectively addressing financial customer's data management challenges; conducting comprehensive testing methodologies for enterprise-level applications, including contract testing, component testing, acceptance testing, end-to-end testing, performance testing, and security and resilience testing; ensuring a high-quality production environment with confidence and reliability.
