Design, develop, and implement software solutions across the full SDLC, including requirements analysis, architecture adherence, coding, and code reviews. Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, implement security with Spring Security, and develop backend components with Python. Work with front-end technologies (React, Angular, TypeScript), cloud services (AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS), IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Participate in design and planning sessions, troubleshoot application issues, and support CI/CD, monitoring, and security scanning efforts.

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Principal Developer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Principal Developer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires 4 years of experience with the following: Developing RESTful APIs with Java-based applications, including building APIs that facilitate communication between software applications over the internet; Designing and implementing microservices architecture using Spring Boot; Breaking down applications into smaller services that can be developed, deployed, and scaled independently; Implementing security features in Java applications using Spring Security, including configuring authentication and authorization mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access; Providing authentication and authorization for applications using Spring Security; Developing back- end applications and interfaces using Python; Building scalable server-side applications; Implementing event-driven architecture and asynchronous programming; Developing front-end solutions using React, Angular, and TypeScript. This position requires 2 years of experience with the following: Developing AWS Services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS; Deploying code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to support CI/CD pipelines in the AWS Cloud; Integrating cloud technologies and reporting solutions with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL; Containerizing existing microservices and Spring Boot applications using Docker and Kubernetes; Implementing encryption, authentication, and access control using IAM and Spring Security; Developing monitoring controls and performing debugging using Datadog; Conducting security assessments using SSAP scans and addressing identified vulnerabilities; Maintaining version control and branching standards using GIT; Performing root cause analysis using AWS CloudWatch and SQL.
