Design, architect, and develop scalable, high-performance financial applications while ensuring compliance with SDLC principles and secure coding practices. Participate across the full software development lifecycle—analyzing requirements, producing design and application specifications, implementing Java/Spring Boot services, APIs, and integrations with distributed/NoSQL databases. Implement resiliency patterns, performance optimizations, CI/CD, automated testing, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Terraform) to ensure stable, secure production systems.

Location: Wilmington, DE, United States

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, architect, and develop scalable, high-performance financial applications ensuring compliance with SDLC principles, focusing on code quality and secure coding practices. Be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Apply technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity. Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices and implement resiliency patterns to enhance the system stability. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues and optimize performance with caching strategies and CDN integration. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with product owners, product analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
