Design, develop and implement software solutions across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Translate requirements into scalable software, work with architects and vendors on roadmaps, and participate in code reviews to ensure alignment with architecture. Collaborate with Scrum Master and Product Owner to drive continuous improvement and timely delivery, and contribute to release and iteration planning. DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Work with architects, vendors, and other units in the organization to develop product and services roadmap Review work of team members to ensure high-quality solutions. Work closely with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to ensure team and organization standards are followed and the team is consistently focused on continuous improvements and sustained delivery. Participate in Release and Iteration Planning meetings with the team and other key stakeholders. Employ simple design and pragmatic implementation techniques to drive business value. Work with architects, vendors, and other units in the organization to develop product and services roadmap Review work of team members to ensure high-quality solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: designing and developing software within a microservices architecture, deploying as REST APIs; utilizing Spring, Spring Boot, and build tools like Maven to manage application dependencies; creating solutions for migrating data from on-premises storage to AWS S3; developing strategies for migrating databases from on-premises environments to AWS Aurora/RDS; executing data migrations from relational databases such as DB2 to non-relational databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB; building event-driven applications using SQS, SNS, and EventBridge; designing and implementing solutions for migrating private cloud applications to AWS ECS containers and AWS Glue; using Terraform and CloudFormation to establish infrastructure on the AWS cloud; administering and developing IBM CMOD, utilizing ODWEK; developing CMOD archival processes for various document formats, including AFP, PDF, XML, and Linedata; designing monitoring solutions with AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, and Splunk; designing and optimizing MongoDB clusters; utilizing SQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB, covering both cloud-based and on-premises systems; providing support and expertise in distributed systems such as AIX and Linux; performing data manipulation, structuring, design flow, and query optimization using SQL; developing retention management and data purging solutions with Java, Python, and Shell to meet regulatory standards.
